To Worship
and Sing God's Praises
Sunday worship is the centerpiece of our life together. Every
Sunday we celebrate Holy Communion, which is open to all baptized
Christians who believe our Lord's presence in the sacrament offers us
forgiveness, life, and salvation.
Our worship features a service of traditional Lutheran liturgy and music at 11:00 a.m. We welcome everyone to worship with us.
Wednesday evenings in Advent and Lent, we gather at 6:30 p.m. for a light meal and service where we sing, offer prayers in keeping with the season, and hear a short homily from Pastor.
To Grow in Our Faith
Members come together in small groups for "5 x 5,"
a series that fosters Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Each
group has five or more members and meets at least twice monthly over a
period of five months. Then, 5 x 5 forms new groups, so
that members may broaden their friendships and also invite others to
join.
Women of Ascension, our local chapter of WELCA, the women's organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, meets monthly for Bible study and fellowship. This group affirms, supports, and challenges women in their daily ministries at home and around the world.
